The Mystery of Carlo G

Bought for 60 Euros, then sold by Sotheby’s. Discovered after nearly 400 years at a flea market only to vanish again. And a signature obscured by a simple smudge…. Carlo G. Music of exquisite beauty brought to life by virtuoso musicians in the beauty of the Chapel.

Saturday April 13, 7:00pm the Chapel will welcome three internationally acclaimed musicians to perform a concert of virtuoso liturgical music of the early 17th century. This truly is an exceptional, one of a kind experience. Sharing in the magnificent and mysterious music of the “Carlo G” manuscript with superstar musicians Suzie LeBlanc, Catalina Vicens, and Bruce Dickey, along with their renaissance academy students from the Lunenburg Academy of Music Performance, in the stunning intimate acoustic of the Chapel. It will be like sitting in the living room with a host of stellar singers and instrumentalists. This is the only chance to hear this program in Nova Scotia outside of Lunenburg, and without a doubt the first time this magnificent music will be performed in Eastern Canada.
