Manning Chapel Choir 2025/26
Great Music. Real Community
We’re welcoming new singers in every voice part (soprano, alto, tenor, bass). The Chapel Choir is a small’ish (~24 members) and very active group that sings for University Chapel services, plus signature concerts at least once per term. We sing a wide variety of styles — from ancient church music and traditional hymns to folk, world, gospel, and contemporary.
Rehearsals are Thursdays 7–9pm. Most Sundays we sing at Chapel (6:15 – 8:30pm) — often followed by a trip to the pub.
If you’ve sung in a choir before (even just in school) and can basically follow sheet music, you’ll do great. No religious background is required — just openness and respect. We’re a welcoming, affirming group where people bring different experiences and beliefs.
The choir sings a lot of music, and there is an understood expectation of commitment, but never at the expense of a supportive and fun environment.
